Edward
J. Hester invented the first computer-assisted vocational guidance testing
system in 1972. Further anticipating the needs in vocational guidance, Dr.
Hester invented the first truly portable system, the first system to integrate
vocational abilities with interests, and initiated the factor approach finally
adopted by the Department of Labor for its O*NET system.
In
1994 the Hester Consulting Group was formed as a subsidiary of HES to provide a
variety of services for corporations, municipalities, and not-for-profit
organizations. Innovations in products and services continue to be the hallmark
of HES.
IMPROVING
JOB AND CAREER FULFILLMENT…
The
measurements used by the Hester vocational guidance testing systems results in a
profile of vocational abilities and interests to enhance the individual's
self-awareness and empowerment throughout his or her lifetime.
The original Hester system evolved into the Mobile
Vocational Evaluation system used throughout the United States and Canada,
and in more than thirteen countries around the world.
AND
PRODUCTIVITY…
Employers need to
maximize their time and investment in equipment and technology by obtaining the
most productive person for each job. Increase in wages is tied to increase in
productivity. And the jobs we do best usually bring the greatest remuneration
and the greatest satisfaction.
THROUGH
THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY…
A comprehensive measurement of abilities and interests is a secure,
productive, profitable and honest method to gain satisfaction in providing
realistic guidance. HES provides the products and services.
And
that is what we do best.
